Predictably Irrational
Put Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely on your summer reading list. While he pulls it off with a lot less grace than Malcom Gladwell, the bar-setter in such literature, the meat of the material is enough to make this book worth the read. The prose drifts a bit much, and the personal extrapolations the author makes from his social experiments are weak, but the experiments themselves are engaging to read and relevant to the day to day choices we make. I actually find myself thinking about the book regularly, even weeks after reading it, which is as good a testament for it as can be.
