Having sold my car a few weeks ago, I had been looking for a new one since then. As it turns out, Texas was fresh out of cool cars right now! Luckily though, I was able to find one in nearby California. So, long story made short, Julia and I, sans kids, flew there and road-tripped our way back in the new car. In order to make the 1,700 mile trip home fun, we put in some Balboa Pier beach time, wine tasted our way through Temecula Valley, and hiked Guadalupe Peak.
