I was flying through an intersection the other night, legally, and suddenly realized that I was about re-paralyze someone crossing the road in an electric wheelchair. With the tires locked-up in my pre-ABS age vehicle, I careened across the wet pavement towards this guy with my eye-level headlights burning towards him. Here is the crazy part... zero fear in his eyes. My heart was pounding out of my chest, but this guy was wearing a perfectly carefree expression. I can only assume, after much thought later on, that he simply had a "come what may attitude" because he knew he didn't have any control over the situation at this point. How terrible to be effectively walking across the street and have no ability to jog when need be. LSMS, I fortunately missed the gentleman by a chair (pun intended).
In conclusion, when such a time comes, I can assure you that my wheelchair will have a boost button.
