Christmas Penitence Post

Mia complained bitterly that an old post got e-mailed out last night (a fluke with Feedburner that I am still unclear about) and demanded Christmas pics of the boys as penitence. Although we have done most of our Christmas get-togethers already, I don't really have many pics to share. I am a big believer in enjoying the moment instead of trying to capture it.... that, or just lazy.

I did take this picture of Gabe playing with a kitchen set my SIL bought the boys. Their wild man spirits were not to be so easily tamed though, and in no time at all they were using the stove for a parking garage with helicopter landing pads on top.

We are actually doing our last Christmas gift opening tomorrow. We have a time each year for "Boot Day," with just the boys and us opening presents from our boots. While the boot idea is cute, it is a lot harder to cram them with as much stuff as a stocking. This evening it was fun to watch Julia, the packaging engineer, work to get everything suspended from the hearth.
