This is "The Unfortunate Land of Tyrol" by Franz Marc, one of the more memorable painting as saw at the Guggenheim.
I keep thinking about this quote from Marc, who often used animals in his paintings: “People with their lack of piety, especially men, never touched my true feelings, but animals with their virginal sense of life awakened all that was good in me.”
It is a nice one, it kind of reminds me of the Marc Chagall painting that was featured so prominently in "Notting Hill." Though there are no violin playing goats floating through the air. When you think about it there can really only be so many of those in the world.
