That's a rap

I listened a while back to a long video by Dr. Terry Watkins intending to expose Christian rock as wholly Satanic in an artist-by-artist examination. On Micheal W. Smith, his main points, aside from apparent runic alphabet linkages, related to the complete lack of mention of Jesus Christ in something like four albums in a row. That got me thinking about why I like rap. There is no music more authentic than rap. As a example, mainstream rappers commonly lay out what they think about women and what they want from them in a mind-boggling effective experiment on honesty-is-the-best-policy. Similarly, I have found almost no music more Christian than Christian rap. It got me wondering why mainstream Christian music is so often difficult to parse from secular music lyrically. (Usually the quality makes it self-evident... perhaps that is enough.) Or, maybe this is not a music issue at all, merely a white people issue. On that note, I have at included a KJ-52 song in this home-grown introductory playlist to the world Christian rap for all my white friends.
