I hadn't blogged in a bit, so I figured I could at least take the time to throw down a quick story about the task of raising boys:
While we were recently visiting Texas Junk Company, apparently the hippest place in Texas to buy used cowboy boots, Gabe needed to pee. Now, if there ever was a store you could urinate in, this was probably it, I nonetheless took him outside, as I likewise gathered from the store's ambiance that they were the "no public restrooms" kind. Since we were out on a public sidewalk I figured it best if I, a seasoned professional in marking territory, handled the operation of his water hose. Story made short, he might as well have asked a blind barren woman for help as I managed to get urine on everything he was wearing despite all my best efforts to correct matters midstream. From the look on his face, Gabe couldn't decide if if this was the most embarrassing or the coolest thing he had ever been a part of.
Luckily, Julia never even suspected I was at fault when we went back inside to display our artwork.
Oh man that's hilarious. You should leave the handling of another man's junk to him. I can picture the look on Gabe's face.
